PriestleySoundy advised Steve Allan, the former global chief executive of WPP’s MediaCom, in connection with his appointment as full-time Executive Chair of, and a significant shareholder in, Brainlabs.
Steve was part of a wave of UK agency pioneers who helped to develop media planning and buying as a stand-alone discipline in the 1980s and 1990s. He has returned to the media landscape which he helped to define over 38 years, to drive global expansion and help Brainlabs go from budding international player to number one in the world.
Brainlabs is a data-led marketing firm with a mission to help businesses build experimentation-led marketing operations. It was founded in 2012 by former Googler Daniel Gilbert, and is among the fastest growing agencies in recent history. In March 2021, it was named #1 digital agency by its peers in The Drum’s 2021 census.
In 2019, Livingbridge bought a minority stake in Brainlabs. Since then, the business has tripled in size from about 200 to 650 people with offices in London, New York and Singapore.
Brainlabs was advised by Cooley.
