PriestleySoundy advised Simon Collins in connection with his appointment as Non-Executive Chair of Big Technologies PLC.

Simon co-founded strategic advisory firm Gold Collins in 2018 and holds board positions at Decoded, Signal AI, Quantexa and the RAF.  He was Chair of KPMG UK from 2012 to 2017 and Global Head of Transactions & Restructuring and European Head of Corporate Finance during his 19-year tenure at the firm.

Big Technologies was founded as Buddi in 2005 by Sara Murray OBE, the current Chief Executive Officer, following an initial idea to create a GPS device small enough for a child to carry.  Today, Big Technologies is a proven supplier of innovative and high-quality products and services to the remote personal monitoring industry.  Big Technologies provides products and services under a number of brand and trading names, with Buddi being the most well-known and being used in respect of activities within the core criminal justice market.

In July 2021, Big Technologies was admitted to London’s AIM market with a market value of around £577 million, in the second largest IPO the market had witnessed in 2021 and the fifth largest IPO in AIM’s history.
