PriestleySoundy advises Richard Rowney on his appointment as CEO of James Hay

PriestleySoundy advised Richard Rowney in connection with his appointment as Chief Executive Officer of James Hay, and his employment and incentive arrangements.

Richard was previously CEO of LV where he worked for thirteen years, helping to build it into the UK’s most trusted and recommended insurer.  Before LV he spent fourteen years at Barclays in a variety of senior, operational, risk and change roles.

As a specialist platform for retirement wealth planning, James Hay works with advisers to help investors successfully navigate the second half of their financial lives.  It is one of the largest providers of Self-Invested Personal Pensions in the UK.

James Hay was acquired by Epiris in 2019 in a deal which valued its parent company IFG at £206 million.  IFG was subsequently delisted from the stock market.

Epiris is an independent private equity manager.  With more than 25 years’ experience, Epiris has invested more than £5 billion in over 200 deals.
