PriestleySoundy advised Helen Mets on her appointment as President and Chief Executive Officer of Ahlstrom, effective 1st January 2023, and certain ancillary arrangements.
Helen is an international business leader with over 30 years’ experience and a proven track record of building successful businesses and maximising value for all stakeholders. Since December 2021, she has also served on the Ahlstrom Board of Directors.
Ahlstrom is a global leader in fiber-based materials, supplying innovative and sustainable solutions to its customers. Operating out of 38 plants in 13 different countries, it employs over 6,800 employees with over 50 nationalities.
In September 2020, a Bain Capital-led consortium made a public recommended cash tender offer for Ahlstrom valuing the total equity at approximately €2.1 billion.
