Care UK Health Care is England’s largest independent provider of NHS services, delivering more than 70 different healthcare services throughout the UK. Founded in 1982, Care UK’s healthcare services include treatment centres, GP practices, NHS walk-in centres, GP out-of-hours, prison health services, clinical assessment and diagnostics facilities.
In March 2010, it was announced that Care UK had agreed to be acquired by Bridgepoint in a public-to-private deal that valued the business at £414 million. Bridgepoint was attracted by the business’ diversified and robust growth platform and delivery of services of the highest standard.
